Real Madrid star, Aurelien Tchouameni declares his love for Nigerian singer, Davido. The midfielder recounts childhood moments of listening to the Grammy-nominated superstar.
In an interview with ESPN, the French Mildfieder of Cameroonian descent, revealed he has been listening to Davido as far back as the days of the release of “back when”.
“Back in the day, when I was 10 years old, I used to listen to this guy [Davido]. Yeah, when I was ten. It has been a while. The first song that I listened to was ‘Back When’,” Tchouameni said.

Davido released ‘Back When’ on May 7, 2011, his debut single. The track featured afrorap pioneer, Naeto C, and was a major hit on Davido’s debut album, Omo Baba Olowo (OBO). Aurelien didn’t fail to reassure his fans by declaring Davido his “favorite Afrobeats artiste”
