Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City manager, has praised the Saudi league for its huge investment in football and predicted that more top players will join the lucrative competition.
The Saudi league has attracted some of the biggest names in the sport, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Karim Benzema, who earn staggering salaries to play for Saudi clubs.
Guardiola said the Saudi league has “completely changed the market” and created a new challenge for European clubs.
Meanwhile, Ajax have signed Jordan Henderson from Al-Ettifaq, hoping that the England and former Liverpool midfielder can help them turn around their disastrous season.
The club’s fans and officials have been outraged by the poor performance of the team, which has a rich history of success and glory.
Ajax have won 36 league titles, 20 domestic cups, and four European trophies since their foundation in 1900. They have also produced some of the greatest players of all time, such as Johan Cruyff, Marco van Basten, and Dennis Bergkamp.
