Kylian Mbappe, the Paris Saint-Germain and France star, has shared how LeBron James, the NBA legend and Liverpool co-owner, has been a mentor and a role model for him. Mbappe said he often seeks advice from James on how to achieve greatness both on and off the field.
The two athletes became friends in 2018, when they met at a Nike event in New York. That was the year Mbappe joined PSG permanently from AS Monaco, and James moved to the Los Angeles Lakers from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Mbappe is a big fan of the NBA and James is a keen follower of football. He is part of the Fenway Sports Group, the American company that owns Liverpool FC. This has sparked rumors that Mbappe might join Liverpool in the future, especially since PSG are struggling to keep him on a contract worth £86.15 million per season.
Mbappe is one of the most popular and talented players in the world. He is the captain of his national team and the leader of PSG, who have lost both Neymar and Lionel Messi since last season.
Mbappe revealed that he admires James not only for his sporting achievements, but also for his social and business projects. He told GQ Magazine: “He has a much more advanced career than I do, and projects outside sport that have cemented his place as a legend. Being able to ask such inspiring personalities for advice is a chance to adjust my projects and create my own thing that is as effective as possible for today’s young people.”
