According to reports, Tonali is set to be handed a huge penalty if found guilty of the charges. The Italian midfielder reportedly placed bets on his possible transfer from Milan to Newcastle last summer.
Tonali in an attempt to clear the air, through his representatives shared in the statement made today that the player has been cooperative with FA and championed the idea of self-reporting while investigation continues. GR sports emphasized Tonali’s readiness and availability for this period.
