A larger base of Roma fans are still solidly behind Jose Mourinho days after the Portuguese tactician was sacked by Roma, LCSoccerHub Reports.
An egg-faced Jose Mourinho left Roma training ground in tears hours after Roma confirmed their decision to part ways with him as manager.
Days after his sack, Mourinho posted an emotional footage on his Instagram handle, capturing his big moments with Roma.

In Roma’s first match against Hellas Verona after Jose Mourinho was sacked, the fans swept the Estadio Olimpico with banners expressing their hearty support for Jose Mourinho and disdain for the club’s ownership.

They flooded the stands with solidarity messages for the axed gaffer. Some banners carried expressly deviant messages such as;
“You defended us against everything and everyone. Roma doesn’t forget you. Thank you Jose.”
Another emotionally-charged caption reads;
“The only one to defend us. The last one to surrender. Obrigado Jose.”
Another added, “You defended our Roma. You led us to victory. Jose Mourinho eternal glory.”
Another banner reads; “memory don’t have contracts. The smile you gave us and everything you stood for our Romanismo will always be respected. Thanks Mister.”
Other banners paid heart-rending tributes to the Portuguese.
“Few of us represented us the way you did. Every Romanista will be grateful to you.”
“It was a privilege to have you by our side. Thank you Jose.”
The outpouring of support and solidarity messages for Jose Mourinho by the fans underscored the Portuguese legendary and iconic status at Roma despite his short stint with the club.
Despite losing the confidence of the club’s ownership, Jose Mourinho was popular with Roma fans. During his spell with the club, Mourinho showed commitment to the Roma project by turning down a lucrative contract offer from Saudi Arabia.
He ended the club’s 60 years wait for the European trophy when he led them to the UEFA Conference League victory. Mourinho also reached the final of Europa League in 2023, where he lost to Sevilla on penalties.
However, his promising start with Roma has been marred with a series of dismal domestic campaign this season. Mourinho left Roma 9th on Serie A table, 22 points adrift of league leaders Inter Milan and 5 points away from a top finish.
He was sacked following back-to-back defeats on the domestic front against AC Milan in Serie A and Lazio in Coppa Italia quarterfinal.
Roma icon Daniele de Rossi was appointed his successor and the Italian got off the mark returning Roma to winning ways against Hellas Verona in Serie A on Saturday.
