Former Roma manager Jose Mourinho has shared his opinions on who will win the Premier League and Champions League this season, as well as expressing his affection for one of his ex-clubs.
Mourinho, who was sacked by Roma in January after a disappointing third season, appeared on Rio Ferdinand’s FIVE YouTube channel and discussed various topics, such as his future plans, his challenges at Manchester United, and his favourite midfielder from England’s golden generation.
He also made his predictions for the two major trophies in European football, saying: “Premier League… City or Liverpool, so I’m not making a mistake. But I think City. Champions League… I would say City or Real Madrid. If somebody outside wins it that would be a great surprise for me.”
Mourinho, who has won the Premier League three times and the Champions League twice, said he would love to see Real Madrid win the European title again, for the sake of the club and his former assistant Carlo Ancelotti, who is now in charge of the Spanish giants.

He also mentioned Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain as potential contenders, but ruled out Arsenal, who are currently second in the Premier League and have reached the last 16 of the Champions League.
Mourinho, who has also managed Porto, Inter Milan, Chelsea and Tottenham, did not comment on any of his former clubs’ chances of winning silverware this season, except for Real Madrid. He is currently without a job, but said he is waiting for the right opportunity to return to management.
