The Bavarians ran out with a 5-2 victory, thanks to a potent strike force enough to break down Darmstadt walls.
Harry Kane stole the spotlight in the game with his lone goal. It was his 31st goal this season for the club and the most number of goals ever scored by a player in his debut season in the Bundesliga.
The record was held by Germany’s 1936-born football legend Uwe Steeler – a Hamburg and Bundesliga legend with incredible goalscoring heroics.
Playing as a center-forward, Uwe Steeler who retired from football in 1978, died in 2022 at the age of 85, scored a record 30 Bundesliga goals for Hamburg in his debut campaign in 1963/64 season.
The German Bundesliga has known some of the best strikers in European football but Uwe Steeler’s record had stood to the test of time, towering high above every new Bundesliga attacking prospect until Harry Kane joined.
Kane has now scored 37 goals and provided 11 assists in 35 matches across all competitions for Bayern Munich.
