Harry Kane bags brace as Bayern Munich left it late to return to winning ways with a crucial Bundesliga victory over RB Leipzig, LCSoccerHub Reports.

It was a cracker as Bayern Munich attempted to reverse their recent deadlock with a win against RB Leipzig.

The Bavarians went into the game at the back of a three-match winless run that has seen the club cut short the contract of Thomas Tuchel.

Against RB Leipzig, it was a must-win for Thomas Tuchel. Despite a mutual agreement for him to leave the club at the end of the season, his premature exit before the end of the season wasn’t ruled out if the Bavarians’ difficult start to the season continued.

Meanwhile, their rivals and Bundesliga table-toppers Bayer Leverkusen had riled up pressure on the Munich-based side, having opened an 11-point gap on the table with a 2-1 win over Mainz on Friday.

Despite gradually losing bearing in the Bundesliga title race, Tuchel needed victory against RB Leipzig to retain faint hopes of catching up with Bayer Leverkusen.

The game took on a frantic pace from the start as both sides committed bodies forward, pushing hard to take the lead.

RB Leipzig matched the hosts’ attempts on target but it was still barren at the break as both sides failed to find the back of the net.

11 minutes into the second half, Harry Kane came up clutch with the opener, firing the home side into the lead.

RB Leipzig stepped up their game after conceding and found an equaliser in the 70th minute through Sesko.

With the scores leveled, the game was set for a nervy finish with both sides making equal efforts to take the lead.

The Bavarians almost settled for a draw as they failed to find the back of the net again until the first minute of stoppage time when Harry Kane came to the rescue, scoring his brace to restore the lead, thanks to an assist by Choupo-Moting.

The late goal was enough to hand the home side a hard-fought victory much to the respite of under-pressure Thomas Tuchel.

The win has seen the team reduce the gap on Bayer Leverkusen to 8 points.
