BREAKING! Dani Alves Regains Freedom

Dani Alves has finally regained his freedom for the first time in 14 months after languishing in Brians 2 prison due to his trial, LCSoccerHub reports

The legendary footballer saw his footballing fortunes rolled eack drastically after being accused of rape and arrested by Spanish authorities.

After a dragging court proceedings, the 40-year-old was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in jail, including a nine-year parole.

He is set to appeal the judgment but his bail request was rejected in the course of the trial.

Spanish judges considered the embattled ex-footballer a flight risk, hence turning down bail pleas by his legal counsel.

After his four-and-a-half-year prison sentence, Alves’ legal team finally convinced the judges he was not a flight risk and deserved bail.

The argument was heard and Alves was granted bail but on two conditions he had his passport seized and also pay €1m as bail fee.

Alves would have been freed since last weekend but he could not afford the bail bond and had to remain behind bars as a result.

He finally footed the bail bond but was still hours behind bars before his eventual release.

As per reports reaching us from Spanish outlets, Alves has finally regained his freedom for the first time in 14 months, hours after paying the €1m bail fee.

Sources close to the embattled ex-footballer reveal he will spend his first day of freedom in his Barcelona home. He has been barred from traveling outside Spain and will be freed until his appeal against the previous judgment is heard.

It has been a difficult chapter in the career of the former PSG, Juventus, and Barcelona star. Alves’ freedom is just a breather from his grueling ordeal while on trial. It is not yet over with his hopes of freedom dependent on whether he wins his appeal or not.
