There is no buyout clause attached to the deal, as per SportsBild. This means Sancho will likely return back to Old Trafford after the six-month loan tenure.
It has been four months since Jadon Sancho tasted action with Manchester United. He was freezed from United first team following his fallout with Erik ten Hag.
Despite the exclusion of a buy-out clause on the deal, it is believed Jadon Sancho would want to continue with Borussia Dortmund after the expiration of his loan deal.
Borussia Dortmund could also opt for a permanent deal for the player should he impress on his loan spell.
It will be the second time Sancho has taken his career to the Signal Iduna Park. The 26-year-old spent four seasons at Borussia Dortmund before he joined Manchester United in 2021.
He made 104 Bundesliga appearances for the club, scoring 38 goals, and 45 assists. Sancho also bagged 6 goals with 4 assists in 6 DFB-POKAL appearances for Dortmund in his last season with the club.
Following his scintillating performance for the Bundesliga outfit, he caught the attention of former Man United interim boss Ralf Rangnick, who splashed a record £70m fee to sign the player.
It wasn’t a groundbreaking start to life at Old Trafford for Jadon Sancho. However, he maintained a considerably optimal performance with the Premier League giants.
Sancho made 29 Premier League appearances for Manchester United in 2021 and 26 appearances last season. This season, he has managed only 3 appearances for the club following his fallout with Erik ten Hag.
The embattled winger will be hoping to breathe life back to his career as he returns to Borussia Dortmund.
