Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich spell as manager is set to come to an end following a recent dismal run, LCSoccerHub Reports.
Bayern Munich have decided to end their contract with the 50-year-old after three straight defeats that has grounded the team’s Bundesliga title push.
It all started with a top-of-the-table clash with Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena where the Bundesliga giants stumbled to a shock 3-0 defeat.
The Bayer Leverkusen loss was followed with another defeat in the Champions League round 16 first-leg against Lazio in Italy.
With two straight defeats, pressure had already tanked up on Thomas Tuchel. Meanwhile, there were reports of miscues in the Bavarians’ dressing room with some players reportedly losing confidence in Tuchel.
Tuchel still had a chance to turn things around at the Vonovia Vurhstadion against Bochum but it ended in another nightmare as the team stumbled to their third consecutive defeat.
And that was the last straw that broke the camel’s back. Thomas Tuchel’s post-match pressure conference was canceled after the game with the club’s hierarchy convening talks to discuss his future at the club.
