Bayern Munich may likely part ways with Thomas Tuchel soon as the club continues to struggle this season, LCSoccerHub Reports.
The club are reportedly monitoring former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskaer as a potential replacement for the under-pressure gaffer.
Thomas Tuchel has endured a difficult short phase in the dugout as Bayern Munich manager as the team battles with a dragging losing streak in the Bundesliga and Champions League.
It began at the BayArena against title challengers Bayer Leverkusen where they lost 3-0 to drift off from the league leaders in the Bundesliga title race.
The loss was followed by a shock Champions League Round 16 first-leg defeat to Lazio in Italy.
Returning to Germany for a Bundesliga clash against Bochum, the Bavarians were expected to put their house in order by securing nothing less from victory but it ended in another nightmare as they settled for a shock and consecutive third defeat.
Following the loss, Bayern Munich have drifted far from the 2023/24 Bundesliga title race with their rivals Bayer Leverkusen showing no sign of slowing down.
They are now 8 points away from Bayern Leverkusen in the two-horse Bundesliga race and are also edging on the brink of Champions League exit.
Pressure has since tanked up Thomas Tuchel as the Bavarians continue on a free fall, risking ending the season trophyless.
There have been speculations the former Chelsea boss could be relieved of his role soon with the club’s hierarchy making sweeping moves to get things right.
According to German outlets, Bayern Munich are currently monitoring Ole Gunnar Solskaer as a potential hand to replace Thomas Tuchel.
According to Florian Pettenberg of Plettigoal, the original plan is to appoint Ole Gunnar Solskaer on an interim basis if Tuchel struggles to return the team to winning ways.
Nevertheless, they would want Thomas Tuchel to continue till the end of the season before a move to replace him.
