The group stage draw for the 2024 Copa America group stage has been confirmed with mouthwatering clashes lined up for football lovers.
The tournament which will be hosted across major cities in the United States will kick off on June 20, 2024, with defending champions Argentina trading tackles with Canada.
2021 finalists, Argentina and Brazil, are leading the list of top favorites to win the competition given their antecedents and depth of squad.
Other South American powerhouses like Chile and Colombia are also expected to contest for the American-wide continental crown.
Argentina have been drawn in Group A alongside Peru, Chile, and Canada in what has been regarded as a relatively easy draw for the defending and world champions. They have been tipped to qualify from the group, alongside Chile – the next most formidable team in the cut.

Argentina will open the tournament with a Group A opener against Canada before taking on Peru and Chile.
Group A: Argentina, Peru, Chile, and Canada.
Mexico and Ecuador have been drawn together in Group B alongside Venezuela and Jamaica. While the Mexicans and the Ecuadorians have been tipped as favorites to qualify from the Group, Venezuela are considered a potent threat with their recent upbeat performance in CONMEBOL 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Group B: Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Jamaica.
In Group C, the tournament’s hosts United States are drawn alongside Luis Suarez’s Uruguay, including Panama and Bolivia. It is a relatively tight group with teams of virtually equal squad strength. However, the USA and Uruguay are regarded as favorites to qualify for the next round of the competition.
Group C: USA, Uruguay, Panama, and Bolivia.
Group D is regarded as the group of death, featuring Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, and Costa Rica. Brazil are nine-time winner of the competition. They finished as runners-up in the last edition and are expected to qualify from the group alongside Colombia despite the tough draw.
