Bayern Munich secured their biggest Bundesliga win this season with a thumping 8-1 victory over Mainz at Allianz Arena, LCSoccerHub Reports.
Harry Kane opened the scoring for the home side in the 13th minute before Goretzka added to the tally seven minutes after to double the lead.
Mainz fought back to halve the deficit in the 31st minute with Amiri with the third goal.
At the stroke of halftime, Harry Kane scored to extend the lead again for the Bavarians and bag his brace as the first half ended 3-1.
Bayern Munich continued their prolific goalscoring rout in the second half with Thomas Muller scoring two minutes into the second 45 to make it 4-1.
Jamaal Musiala was also on target for the hosts. The English-born German international scored a minute after the hour mark to make it 5-1.
Mainz did little to counter Bayern Munich’s sustained rout. The Bavarians attacking arsenal continued on their rampage till the final minutes.
Five minutes after Jamaal Musiala’s goal, Serge Gnabry sank the visitors, scoring Bayern Munich’s 6th goal in the game.
As if that was not enough, Harry Kane was on target again for his hat-trick just four minutes after Serge Gnabry’s goal.
In the 90+2nd minute, Leon Goretzka scored to bag his brace and wrapped a thumping 8-1 victory over the visitors.
It was the Bavarians’ biggest Bundesliga victory this season coming at the back of a less-than-stellar campaign this season that has seen the team fall off the Bundesliga title race.
They are now seven points adrift of league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who have a game in hand.
Next on the line is a trip to take on relegation battlers Darmstadt on Saturday, March 16.
