Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi has been ruled out of 2023 AFCON with his new replacement confirmed, LCSoccerHub Reports.
On New Year Day, Ndidi missed Leicester City 4-1 win over Huddersfield in Championship with reports he has been sidelined ahead of the game.

Meanwhile, the extent of his injury was yet to be determined, including his chances of making it for AFCON.
The 27-year-old made the cut of Jose Peseiro’s five midfield call-ups for AFCON alongside Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, Joe Aribo, and Raphael Onyedika.
Known for his creativity and strength at the middle of the park, Ndidi was expected to play a key role for the Super Eagles in the continental showpiece.
He has won 50 caps with the Super Eagles since making his debut in 2015 and Nigeria fans had hoped to count on his experience as the Super Eagles slug it out with other national teams for the AFCON crown.
Now, a report shared on X from the Super Eagles camp has confirmed Wilfred Ndidi has been ruled out the tournament due to injury.

His absence will be a major blow for the team, who are also battling with uncertainties over the injury of another Leicester City star Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho suffered a muscular injury but is still expected to join the Super Eagles camp ahead of the tournament.
As of the time of filing this report, Iheanacho, and scores of other players are yet to report to camp.
Kenneth Omeruo, Ahmed Musa, Ola Aina, Moses Simon, and others lead the list of players that have reported to camp for the tournament.
Royal Antwerp midfielder Alhassan Yusuf has been called up by Jose Peseiro to fill the void left by Wilfred Ndidi.
