Parading the most promising youngsters of the game, the Los Blancos lorded the game over their arch-domestic rivals in style. Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr’s combination proved too difficult for the Catalans to handle.
Jude Bellingham set up Vinicius Jr for the first goal of the game with a nice throughball. The England midfield sensation split open Barcelona’s midfield and defense with a perfect pass that saw Vinicius Jr easily steal his way into Barcelona’s box before flooring Barcelona goalkeeper Pena Sotorres to score.
Three minutes after the goal, the Merengues ripped apart Barcelona’s defenses again to double the lead with Vinicius Jr on target again, thanks to an assist by Rodrygo.
Robert Lewandowski put one back for Barcelona in the 33rd with a fiery goal but Vinicius Jr came up clutch again with the third goal for Real Madrid to extend the lead again in the 39th minute.
It was game-over for Barcelona in the second half after Rodrygo added to the tally, making it 4-1 for Real Madrid in the 64th minute.
With the Los Blancos set for an epic El Clasico victory, Barcelona suffered a further blow when Ronald Araujo picked his second yellow card and was sent off in the 71st minute.
Despite going down to 10 men, Barcelona put up a late improved performance but wasn’t enough to reduce the deficit.
