Nigeria football superstar and Napoli sensation Victor Osimhen joined thousands of worshippers for Cross Service in Lagos, Nigeria, LCSoccerHub Reports.

The 24-year-old worshipped at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Parish Lagos as he prepares for another footballing year in 2024.

Church members were left star-struck as the 2023 CAF Footballer of the Year made his way to the podium and gave the Pastor a warm embrace.

In the viral footage shared by @OneJoblessBoy on X, Osimhen was beaming with smiles as he was handed the microphone to share a word with jubilant congregation.

Such moment with locals in Nigeria has been a regular in Osimhen’s life, especially when he is on break. After his Scudetto-winning campaign with Napoli last season, Victor Osimhen spent his break from Serie A in Napoli making out time to share moments with locals in Lagos, where he was born and raised.

He is currently on Christmas and AFCON break from Napoli just like other African players that have been released by their clubs for 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.

The 24-year-old made the cut of Jose Peseiro’s 25-man squad for 2023 AFCON. After his Christmas break, Osimhen will be expected to join up with the Super Eagles’ camp for AFCON preparations.

The former Lille forward will be making his third AFCON appearance for Nigeria, and will be hoping to bring the coveted trophy to Nigeria for the first time in a decade.

Osimhen made his debut for Nigeria national team in 2017 at the age of 18. He has been capped 27 times, scoring 20 goals.

With 2023 AFCON set to kick off on January 13, 2024, Victor Osimhen is among top African strikers to watch out for.

The former Wolfsburg forward enjoyed a scintillating form with Napoli last, scoring 26 league goals to emerge as Serie A topscorer and help Napoli win their first Serie A title in 33 years.

He bagged Serie A footballers player of the season for 2023, and added the coveted African Footballer of the Year Award to his shelve.
