Embattled Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba could be back to footballing action despite his doping ban, LCSoccerHub Reports.
Recall Italy Antidoping Tribunal slammed the 30-year-old midfield maestro with a four-year ban for testing positive for testosterone.
Pogba had disputed the tribunal judgment, describing it as incorrect, shocking, and devastating to his hard-earned career.
He also confirmed his decision to appeal the judgment at the Court of Arbitration for Sports.
While awaiting the final verdict of the Court of Arbitration for Sports, Pogba’s career has already been undone by Italy’s Antidoping Tribunal judgment.
Juventus are reportedly set to terminate his contract amidst the doping scandal.
It is understood that Pogba’s fight to prove his innocence is also a fight to save his career gradually torn apart by the verdict.
Sources close to the French star say his love for the sport that flaunted him before the world has not diminished. And he has been hopeful of winning the case and returning to the field for his game.
Should the Court of Arbitration for Sports uphold the judgment of the tribunal, it will be the final death blow to the Frenchman’s career.
However, a report by Tuttosports, shared by Daily Mail, says Paul Pogba has received an offer from Russia to return to active football despite the ban.
The offer is reportedly coming from Broke Boys – a team in Russia’s Media Football League which was formed in 2022.
An offer of £1,167 has been reportedly presented to the player, including luxury accommodation in one of the elite neighborhoods of Russia.
As of the time of filing this report, it has been confirmed Pogba has been contacted by Broke Boys but he has turned down the offer.
Should Pogba lose the fight to overturn his doping ban, he could settle for the consolation of playing in the Media Football League made up of celebrity sports stars and influencers.
