AC Milan’s Olivier Giroud is eyeing a potential transfer to Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) this summer, according to sources familiar with the negotiations. With Giroud’s contract with Milan set to expire, talks have been underway with multiple MLS teams, but the French striker’s preference is a move to last year’s MLS Cup finalists, LAFC.
LAFC holds Giroud’s discovery rights within the MLS, giving them priority in negotiations should he decide to join the league. Other clubs interested in signing him will need to engage with LAFC to secure his services.
Giroud, who previously played for Arsenal and Chelsea among other clubs, brings a wealth of experience to the table. His international career with France includes winning the 2018 World Cup and representing his country in multiple major tournaments.
Joining LAFC would see Giroud reunited with his former France teammate Hugo Lloris, who recently signed with the club for the 2024 season.

As LAFC aims to bolster its roster for another shot at the MLS Cup, Giroud’s potential arrival adds to the excitement surrounding the team, which has reached the league final in the past two seasons.
With roster flexibility and designated player spots available, LAFC looks poised to make a significant move in the summer transfer window.
