“I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything. But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take.”
Liverpool club statement confirmed the German tactician has informed Liverpool hierarchy of his resolve to call his eight-and-a-half-year stint with the Reds to a conclusion.
“Jürgen Klopp has announced his decision to step down as Liverpool manager at the end of the current season, having informed the club’s ownership of his wish to leave his position when the 2023-24 campaign comes to a close,” Liverpool club statement reads.
