FT: Burnley 0-5 Arsenal, Saka Nets Brace in Turf Moor ROUT! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

Premier League title-hopefuls Arsenal are not slowing down on their race for the 2023/24 Premier League title, LCSoccerHub Reports.

The Gunners humbled struggling Burnley 5-0 at Turf Moor to tank up the pressure on league leaders Liverpool.

The high-flying Mikel Arteta boys effectively dominated proceedings from the start and reap early with a 4th-minute goal. Martin Odegaard fired the Gunners into the lead after he latched on a deflected cross from Gabriel Martinelli.

Odegaard took a first touch of the ball just outside the Burnley box and fired a thunderbolt into the bottom corner to hand Arsenal a deserved lead.

In the 39th minute, Burnley’s comeback hopes was dealt a big blow as they conceded a spot-kick. Assignon committed the foul that led to the penalty after his desperate attempt to win the ball from Leandro Trossard saw him clipped the former Brighton man to the ground.

Trafford nearly saved the spot-kick after he perfectly read Bukayo Saka’s move but he was too late to point out the England star’s terrific shot.

Arsenal took a 2-0 lead into the break, thanks to goals by Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.

The second half was no different. Burney did little to curtail Arsenal’s dominant sail throughout the game, and it was just a matter of time before the Gunners extended the lead again.

Bukayo Saka came up clutch for Arsenal just two minutes into the second half. Odegaard found Saka, who wasted no time crashing the ball into the back of the net pass Trafford to bag his brace and make it 3-0

Arsenal were still on the ascendancy despite leading by three unreplied goals. In the 66th minute, Leandro Trossard registered his name on the score sheet after he smashed Kiwior’s floated pass into the bottom corner to make it 4-0.

Kai Havertz would extend the score margin to 5-0 in the 76th minute after he latched on a throw-in, beat Odobert, and then lifted the ball pass Trafford to score.

The Gunners ran out with a deserved 5-0 win after the final whistle to close the gap on Liverpool at the top to 2 points.
