Chelsea star David Datro Fofana has sealed a loan move to Burnley, LCSoccerHub Reports.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Fofana joins Burnley on a short-term loan deal until the end of the season.

No buy option is attached to the deal as the player is expected to return to Chelsea at the end of the season.
Burnley will cover 100% of Fofana’s wages as part of the agreement. Datro Fofana, 21, joined Chelsea from Austrian side Molde on December 22, 2022.
He made his debut for the London club in a 4-0 FA Cup defeat to Manchester City on January 1, 2023.
Playing as a forward, the Ivorien youngster struggled to nail a regular spot in the Blues’ star-studded side. He was sparingly used and managed only 3 Premier League appearances for the club.

In June 2023, Chelsea confirmed their decision to loan the young striker to Bundesliga side Union Berlin. Fofana still found himself struggling to make a mark in Germany. He was reduced to cameo appearances off the bench.
He made 12 appearances for the club, scoring one goal. Chelsea agreed a season-long loan deal with Union Berlin for Fofana. He was expected to continue with the German side until the end of the season. However, a break clause was included in the contract to call back the striker if the move is not going to plan.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed Chelsea have called back David Datro Fofana from Union Berlin loan due to lack of game time with the club.
However, Fofana is still down Chelsea’s pecking order, hence the club have decided to loan him again to Burnley.
The Ivorien joins Burnley on a short-term deal till June 2024 and will hope to step up his game with the Clarets for the remainder of the season.
