Premier League giants Chelsea comfortably dispatched Preston with a 4-0 victory to progress to the next round of FA Cup, LCSoccerHub Reports.
The Blues were held in first half as Preston sat back to counter the home side’s offensives. Series of missed chances nearly saw the game end in a deadlock.

Preston came out with a well thought-out gameplan – staying back to defend while hoping to catch the host unawares with counters.
Despite dominating proceedings throughout the first 45, the Blues could not find the back of the net. They struggled to break through Preston’s backline.
It ended barren at the break before Chelsea came out smoking in the second half to break the goal deadlock.
Armando Broja opened the scoring for the home side, netting a 58th minute goal.
In the 63rd minute, Thiago Silva added to the tally to make it 2-0 before Raheem Sterling made it 3-0 three minutes later.
The quickfire double put the game beyond Preston as Chelsea pressed to bag a win.
In the 88th minutes, Enzo Fernandez completed the rout for Chelsea, making it 4-0 to seal the win.
With the win, Chelsea have progressed to the next round of the competition with other Premier League clubs also making it to the next round.
In the other results involving other Premier League clubs, Newcastle United thrash Sunderland 3-0 away from home.
Brighton defeated Stoke 4-2 while Aston Villa saw off Middlesbrough with a narrow 1-0 away win.
