Real Madrid have received a huge injury boost with Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois return timeline confirmed, LCSoccerHub Reports.
The pair picked up ACL injuries early in the season and have missed months of action for the Los Blancos, who are pushing for the LaLiga title this season.
Speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s LaLiga clash with Celta Vigo, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao are set to return to action after the March international break.
Ancelotti revealed the actual date the duo will be back to action is not defined but they could be expected to get up to full fitness on or before April 14th in the crucial phase of the team’s campaign.
“The date is not defined. But we have to take advantage of the national team break and then the mini-break of the Copa del Rey. At that time they will do tasks with the team. After April 14th, after Mallorca, they could be there.”
This means Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao could be available for Real Madrid’s LaLiga clash with Barcelona on April 21. They could also be available for Real Madrid’s Champions League quarterfinal second-leg which is slated for April 16th and 17th.
Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti has made light of the absence of the duo as he has led the team to the pole position in the LaLiga title race and have booked a slot in Champions League last 8.
Nevertheless, the return of the pair will be a big boost to the Los Blancos as they enter crucial stages of their domestic and European campaign.
Thibaut Courtois made 33 LaLiga appearances for Real Madrid last season. The Belgian is set to fall off last season’s tally as he is yet to make a competitive appearance for the club this season due to the ACL injury layoff.
Eder Militao made only one LaLiga appearance for the club before the lengthy injury layoff.
