The Premier League have slammed charges on Everton and Nottingham for breaching Premier League financial sustainability and profitability rules, LCSoccerHub Reports.
The Premier League statement confirming the charges reads;
“Everton FC and Nottingham Forest FC have each confirmed to the Premier League that they are in breach of the League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR). This is as a result of sustaining losses above the permitted thresholds for the assessment period ending Season 2022/23.
“In accordance with Premier League Rules, both cases have now been referred to the chair of the Judicial Panel, who will appoint separate Commissions to determine the appropriate sanction.”
The Premier League charges on Everton and Nottingham Forest is not a surprise. LCSoccerHub understands the two clubs have been under the radar of the Premier League for possible financial breaches.

Meanwhile, Everton were quickly slammed with a 10-point deduction for a similar offense back in 2023 with Nottingham Forest now set to face a similar fate.
Everton, Nottingham Forest react
Everton have reacted to the fresh indictment by the Premier League. The club’s statement blasts the decision of the league’s governing body to launch a fresh complaint on a similar charge for which the club was deducted 10 points in November 2023.
Everton club statement reads;
“The club must now defend another Premier League complaint which includes the very same financial periods for which it has already been sanctioned, before that appeal has even been heard. The club takes the view that this results from a clear deficiency in the Premier League’s rules.
Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, have pledged to cooperate with the Premier League following the charges.
