Girona’s La Liga title hopes is now on the frays following the loss to Real Madrid. The 2023/24 La Liga surprised team went into the game two points adrift of Real Madrid at the top. A draw would have kept them in contention but a defeat is nothing to go by having dropped five points off the La Liga giants.
