Super Eagles striker and 2023 CAF Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen, lost his cool on his Napoli teammate’s agent Mamuka Jugeli, LCSoccerHub Reports.
Mamuka Jugeli, who is the agent of Georgian and Napoli attacking sensation Khivcha Kvaratskhelia, had revealed in a viral social media post that Victor Osimhen will leave Napoli at the end of the season.
Jugeli said the Nigerian striker is eyeing a move away from Serie A to Saudi Arabia despite recently signing a new contract with Napoli with an improved offer.
He wrote;
“Osimhen signed a new contract but do you think he will spend his entire career at Napoli. I can already tell you he will go to Saudi Arabia.”
Osimhen apparently did not take Manuka Jugeli’s statement lightly. Obviously furious with the unsolicited and unconfirmed transfer leak, Osimhen took to his social media handle to blast Jugeli for the report.
He wrote;
“Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace”.
“I’m embarrassed at your sense of reasoning”.
“Dumb f*ck! KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!”.
Victor Osimhen transfer future
Despite recently signing a new contract with Napoli to extend his stay at Naples to 2026, Osimhen is still a hot shot on transfer rumor mills.
He has been linked with a move to Chelsea with the London club reportedly ready to flex their financial muscles again to sign the highly-rated forward.
The Blues’ last summer signing from Villarreal Nicolas Jackson seemed to have not live up to the billing hence the decision to supplement the attack with Victor Osimhen.
During his birthday, Victor Osimhen reawakened the conversation on his potential move to Chelsea. Osimhen replied a fan, asking him to come to Chelsea, with a praying emoji.
Victor Osimhen to Saudi Arabia?
In his interview on Mikel Obi’s podcast, Osimhen revealed he had a lucrative offer on the table from Saudi Arabia but chose to turn it down.
There are reports Saudi clubs are ready to relaunch their interest in signing Osimhen but it is still unclear whether the 24-year-old will be enticed by the oil money and riches of Saudi Arabia.
