Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has broken his silence on rumors linking Dusan Vlahovic to Arsenal move, LCSoccerHub Reports.
With the January transfer window open, Arsenal are in search of a proper No.9 to sharpen the club’s attack.
Since taking over as Arsenal manager in 2019, Mikel Arteta has relied heavily on attacking midfielders to hurled in the goals for the team.
Attacking midfielders Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are still taking on the goalscoring roles for the London outfit.
While the Gunners have been in top shape as a team under Arteta, the efficiency of their frontline has been called to question.
When Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are found lacking in front of goals, the Gunners struggle. This hampered their Premier League title chances last season. It is also believed Arsenal, who have relaunched themselves into the Premier League title race this season, need a proper striker to stay at par with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.
LCSoccerHub understands Mikel Arteta is bent on arresting the numb in Arsenal’s frontline by signing a striker this summer.
The club have been linked with a move for Brentford star Ivan Toney but a deal is unlikely as Brentford manager Thomas Frank is reportedly bent on keeping the player.
The Gunners have been also linked to a move for Napoli’s prolific forward Victor Osimhen but are set to compete with domestic and City rivals Chelsea for the services of the player.
With Toney and Osimhen’s move unlikely to be successful, Arsenal have launched a shock swoop for highly-rated Juventus and Serbia forward Dusan Vlahovic.
However, they are set to suffer a major blow as Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has revealed Dusan Vlahovic is not for sale and they have not entertained any bid from Arsenal for the player.
In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, Giuntoli said;
“Bid from Arsenal for Dusan Vlahović? We don’t know anything about that story, there’s nothing. Vlahović is NOT for sale.”
