Barcelona president Joan Laporta has aimed a subtle dig at Real Madrid in their move for Kylian Mbappe, LCSoccerHub Reports.

It is just a matter of time before Kylian Mbappe joins Real Madrid in what will be a groundbreaking transfer in the summer.

Mbappe has told PSG he is not renewing his contract and will leave at the end of the summer.

He has been linked to other clubs but Real Madrid is his most likely destination as talks between the two parties have been confirmed, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Kylian Mbappe will be a big addition to Real Madrid and of course, deepening the depth of the squad and extending their advantage over their rivals Barcelona.

However, Barcelona chief Joan Laporta believes Real Madrid’s belated move for Mbappe won’t be the final deal-breaker shaping the rivalry between the two teams.

According to him, the Los Blancos will still have to grapple with the problem of integrating Kylian Mbappe into the dressing room by harmonizing his wages with other players.

“Barça president Laporta: “Xavi insists on saying he won’t change his mind and he’s gonna leave in June but… we will see”.

“I still hope to keep Xavi next season, but it’s only up to him”, told MD.

“I’d really, really, really like Xavi to change his mind and stay as Barça manager”.

🚨⚪️ Barça president Laporta: “I don’t envy Real Madrid for Mbappé as new signing…”.

“This distorts the dressing room, for sure”.

“You have to sell a player, don't you? Because they're not going to play in the same place…”, told Mundo Deportivo. pic.twitter.com/03bSs6hXvQ

Sources close to Real Madrid have revealed the club have pecked Kylian Mbappe’s wages to align with the wage cap of the highest-paid players in the team.

However, Mbappe will be given more access to his image rights and as such will earn way higher than other players.

Whether such disparities will cause a stir in Real Madrid’s dressing room is unknown but Joan Laporta believes it will.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are currently miles ahead of Barcelona on team plan and recruitment. Unlike their arch-domestic rivals, Real Madrid have a healthier financial balance sheet and stronger squad brimming with talents.
