Amad Diallo stoked reactions when he surprisingly took down all posts on his social media handle related to Manchester United.
The 21-year-old Ivorien youngster left only three posts of him in a Sunderland shirt after wiping off the page.
There have been speculations on why the former Atlanta young midfielder decided to take down his Man United posts but he has now come out to clear the air.
In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, Amad Diallo said he deleted and later deactivated his social media account because of Ramadan.
The winger added social media could pose a bad influence in the religious month of Ramadan, hence his decision to stay off for a month.
“I’ve deactivated my social media for a month just to focus on Ramadan. Stop the hatred, there’s nothing wrong with what I did”.
“It’s holy month for me and social media is a place where there are bad things to see during fasting”.
Diallo left only three pictures of him in a Sunderland shirt after his charade.
While the Ivorien must have cleared the air on the shocking move, it is still believed his deletion of Man United posts is not far from his barren spell and dwindling fortunes with the club.

Diallo has made only 2 Premier League appearances for Manchester United this season, taking his total Premier League appearance tally for United to five since he joined the club from Atalanta in 2021.
Struggling to nail down a regular spot in the club, Diallo has been loaned twice out of Old Trafford to learn the thrusts and cuts of professional football.
He was first loaned to Rangers in the Scottish elite division where he made 10 league appearances for the club, scoring 3 goals.
After his loan spell with Rangers, Diallo was loaned to Sunderland last season, where he made 37 Championship appearances, scoring 13 goals.
Still struggling to cement his place in the Man United squad, Diallo seems to be falling out of favor in United squad as his plight shows no sign of abating soon.
It is not the first time he has raised eyebrows on social media as his Old Trafford career continues to slide. He recently liked a social media post asking him to ditch United and return to Sunderland where he will have time for regular football.
