Liverpool players emptied their excitements after EFL Cup triumph in a wild dressing room celebrations led by team captain Virgil van Dijk.
In a game that was not bereft of chances, a less-menacing attack saw the rollercoaster matchup end barren in regulation time.
Chelsea recorded 5 big chances in the game but failed to convert them. Two minutes before the final whistle, Virgil van Dijk, who previously had his goal ruled out after VAR intervention, scored again to hand the Reds a win at the death.
The goal was enough to condemn a wasteful Chelsea to a defeat at Wembley while Liverpool clinched their 10th EFL Cup trophy.
From the field to the dressing room, Liverpool players flung into celebrations. It was such a significant moment for the team who are on a chase for a historic quadruple this season.
The image of Jurgen Klopp also writ large in the jubilations with the German set to end his nine-year stint in the dugout at Anfield on a high note.
Andy Robertson, Wataru Endo, Harvey Elliot, Marc Allister, and Virgil van Dijk were the main characters in the flamboyant and boisterous celebrations which continued in the dressing room.
Hoisting up the trophy, the players sang and danced in unison to celebrate the victory with their captain Virgil van Dijk leading the pomp.

It was indeed a big moment for players like Virgil van Dijk. Van Dijk nearly had his Anfield career grind to a halt due to a lengthy injury layoff.
Basking in the euphoria of the triumph, the Dutch sent a message to his critics who claimed his career was over at the instance of his injury.
He boasted, “I thought I was finished. That is not the mentality mate.”
