A top Premier League player has reportedly had his home converted into a cannabis factory by gangsters, LCSoccerHub Reports
The report, as shared by The Sun, says the property was raided by the gangsters with tenants forcefully ejected before they started growing cannabis in large quantities for undisclosed purposes.
The property is said to be located in Northwest England and the illicit operation by the gangsters is said to have occurred without the knowledge of the Premier League player whose identity is still undisclosed by the security operatives.
It took the intervention of a whistleblower, who reportedly informed the police of the development, for the property to be raided.
No member of the gang was caught during the police raid as reports reveal they were not living on the property but frequently visiting it to nurse the cannabis.
Meanwhile, one of the tenants in the property was reportedly arrested in the raid and the Premier League player was called for questioning.
Under interrogations by the Police, the tenant revealed the gangsters forcefully took over the property.
On further inquiry, it was discovered the gangsters did not grow the cannabis for commercial purposes but wanted to sabotage and set up the Premier League player.
It is believed the operation must have been sponsored by an unknown foe who is keen on taking down the player.
The police decided to free the player and the tenant as they were both absolved of any wrongdoing but the man-hunt for members of the gang has reportedly begun.
