Kylian Mbappe has confirmed his decision to leave PSG at the end of the season, LCSoccerHub Reports.
In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe has reportedly communicated his decision to leave at the end of the season to the club president Nasser Al Khelaifi.
“Kylian Mbappé has now informed PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi that he will LEAVE the club as free agent.
“The terms of the departure are yet to be fully agreed but he will LEAVE Paris in the summer — Kylian has yet to fulfil his commitments to the club.
“The decision is 100% confirmed as Nasser Al Khelaifi has been informed today.
“PSG and Mbappe will communicate together about Kylian’s exit in the upcoming months.
“Real Madrid keep working on Mbappé deal with total confidence to get it done, as Fabrizio Romano quotes.
Mbappe’s exit from PSG will bring an end to his heroic six-year spell with the Ligue 1 giants. From the report, Real Madrid is Kylian Mbappe’s possible next destination as the club are still heavily involved in the race to sign the player.
Liverpool were also on the radar for the 25-year-old but the Reds are yet to demonstrate a concrete interest in the player.
Arsenal have also been linked to the player but it is unlikely the Gunners will enter the race for the French star.
LCSoccerHub understands PSG have made several attempts to keep Kylian Mbappe but have failed. They recently offered the player a new contract worth £86m-a-year but have been turned down.
Kylian Mbappe will be another big addition to Real Madrid, who are already brimming with a pool of promising young talents.
Notably, Kylian Mbappe will become the first young player with a heroic career to leave a club on a free transfer. His push for a free exit from Parc Des Princes had been the bane of his contract standoff with PSG early this season.
Nasser Al Khelaifi insisted he would not allow him to leave on a free transfer and moved to sell the player. Mbappe refused to agree personal terms with Al-Hilal, who came with a whooping offer for the player.
After a boiling contract standoff which saw the French star axed from PSG, the pair reconciled their differences and settled for a truce with Mbappe returning to the squad.
Now, it appears Mbappe has finally gotten his way with PSG set to miss one of their best young players on a free transfer at the end of the season.
