Manchester United have set their sights on Crystal Palace star Michael Olise, who is also a target for Liverpool and Manchester City. The French winger, who is a lifelong fan of the Red Devils, is open to joining Erik ten Hag’s side in the summer of 2024.
United are in need of a quality right-wing option, as Antony has failed to impress in the Premier League, Amad Diallo has fallen out of favour, and Jadon Sancho’s future is uncertain. Olise, who has scored six goals and provided three assists in 755 minutes this season, fits the bill perfectly.
The 22-year-old has a £60million release clause in his contract, which he signed after Chelsea missed out on him due to a complex clause. Ben Jacobs, a reliable journalist, has revealed that Olise is tempted by a move to Old Trafford and that Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is close to finalising a 25% stake in United, is ready to endorse the deal.
Ratcliffe, who heads the INEOS group, wants to implement a data-driven recruitment strategy at United, which favours players like Olise and Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, who have proven themselves in the Premier League. Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT that there is continuity between United’s current and future recruitment teams and that Olise is a concrete target for the summer.

However, Olise’s season has been plagued by injuries, and he recently suffered a hamstring setback in the game against Brighton. He will hope to recover soon and continue his impressive form for Palace, while also keeping an eye on his potential move to United.
