Real Madrid survived a second-half scare by Las Palmas to go top of the La Liga table with a dramatic comeback win at Gran Canaria, LCSoccerHub Reports.
The La Liga title hopefuls started on the front foot but the stage was set for a feisty affair between the two sides as Rodrygo bagged the first yellow card of the game after he clashed with Las Palmas goalkeeper Alvaro Velles.
Real Madrid were on the ascendancy going forward. Vinicius Jr proved tough for Las Palmas defenders to crack. The Brazilian forward came close to Real Madrid’s best chance in the first half but had his shot well gathered by Velles.
The visitors continued with their dominant display but were vulnerable to Las Palmas frequent breakouts from their low blocks.

Sergi Cadona had the hosts’ best and only chance in the first half but fired blank.
It was barren at the break as the two sides failed to make their chances count.
Las Palmas stepped up proceedings in the second half with Alberto Moleiro coming close to an opener for the hosts but Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin was equal to the task.
After Moleiro’s attempt, Las Palmas proceeded on another offensive and finally broke the deadlock after a good build-up play.
Ramirez had found Munez who comfortably beat Andriy Lunin to fire the hosts into the lead. Las Palmas’ goal cracked off the hosts, who committed more bodies forward in search of an equaliser.
After a fruitless minutes of attack, Carlo Ancelotti subbed on Joselu and Valverde to sharpen up the Los Blancos’ attack.
12 minutes after the substitution, Vinicius Jr scored from close range to peg back the hosts to a 1-1 draw.
Ancelotti made further substitutions, bringing Arda Guler and Aurelien Tchouameni. A few minutes after coming on, Aurelien Tchouameni scored a beautiful header from Toni Kroos’ cross to complete the turnaround for the visitors.
The game ended with Real Madrid running away with a 2-1 victory to go top of the La Liga table with 53 points, 2 points better than Girona, who will be called to action on Sunday.
