Erik ten Hag is not dropping his hardline man-management approach in Man United squad soon with Anthony Martial the latest name to come under his sledgehammer, LCSoccerHub Reports.
Martial, who is currently facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford, is apparently edging close to ending his nine-year stint with the club as things stand.
According to the Mail, Anthony Martial has been told by Erik ten Hag to stay away from the club’s first-team training session temporarily.
The report adds the decision to axe the French striker from the first team stems from his inability to return to full fitness following an illness that kept him out of the squad.
The decision is understood not to be a disciplinary measure as the player has been asked to train alone for a while to expedite his return to full fitness before joining first-team training
Anthony Martial last played for Manchester United in 0-3 home loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League. Erik ten Hag revealed Martial was unfit to feature in the club’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in their last game.

It is understood Anthony Martial is not injured but is just being asked by Erik ten Hag, who believes in individual training, to train alone to regain his fitness.
Also, Erik ten Hag is not towing down on his rigorous first-team training regime for Manchester United players. He reportedly considers Martial unfit to partake in the regimented process, hence the decision to have him train alone for a while.
However, there are concerns it has taken Anthony Martial far too long to regain his fitness after being asked to go solo.
His delayed return to first-team training has further stirred speculations on his Manchester United future with the club yet to offer him a new contract as he enters the last six months of his contract.
Martial has struggled with cameos for Manchester United. It has been three years since he played the full 90 minutes for Manchester United due niggling injury and fitness issues.
As things stand, he may likely leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season if he lacks offers this January.
